Adidas ZX Flux Trainers

Adidas ZX Flux: The progressive, stylish running shoe

The Adidas ZX Flux is a running shoe that adopts its design from the legendary ZX 8000, a high-tech running shoe from the 1980s. It is available in ladies, men and children's sizes. Just like the original, it comes with a pre-shaped heel cup. The welded TPU 3 stripes give it a refined, futuristic look. It is for you if – for all its technical sophistication – do not lose sight of the design. As part of the legendary ZX range, it comes in a variety of colours – grey, black, red, bright green, white or eccentric Electric Yellow. What makes this sneaker so special are the stabilising elements and the aforementioned heel reinforcement. Plastic caps help provide control for your movements. The patented Torsion-Bar-System, which cushions the area around the midfoot, is also an important feature. An EVA midsole and the OrthoLite insole give you maximum wearing comfort. Breathable mesh material regulates the climate inside.

Adidas ZX Flux – the sneaker from the legendary ZX series

You want to use this running shoe for short distances and on the road? No problem: The revised version of the comfortable sneaker, the ZX Flux 2.0, has almost the same features as the previous model, but focuses more on a clean, futuristic look. That means: high-quality material mix, strong colours, perfect cushioning. This is the result of a long success story that began in 1984, and as with most sneaker silhouettes, the ZX models were designed with sporty performance in mind. The designer in charge at the time was Jacques Chassaing. The first shoe, the ZX 500, focused on cushioning, stability and leadership. In the years that followed, numerous other ZX running releases and new design concepts followed.

Adidas ZX Flux: The latest ZX generation with a high-tech sole

One of the most striking innovations came with the heel support, the so-called "heel cap". This is still used today in several Adidas models. Another milestone is the Torsion System, a kind of ultra-light bridge that connects the forefoot to the heel and gives the runner more stability. With the Adidas ZX 4000 the next big step came: the revolutionary 4D sole technology. This is a 3D printed midsole made from light, oxygen and liquid resin. So it's no wonder that your Adidas ZX Flux gives you an incomparably light yet stable walking sensation.
